Scott Christian

Scott Christian is the founder of Toronto-based indie developer Hilltop Studios, a company focused on creating narrative-driven, mechanically engaging games that blend storytelling, humour, and heart. Hilltop’s award-winning debut title, Lil’ Guardsman, launched in 2024 to critical acclaim, establishing the studio as a distinct voice in Canada’s indie landscape.

Scott is currently directing Hilltop’s next title, Curse of Resthaven, a gothic horror genre mashup fusing roguelite elements with investigation and trading, slated for release in 2026.

A lifelong gamer who grew up on ’90s adventure games, Scott began his career as a composer and musical director and is happiest behind the piano.
