Sangeetha Punniyamoorthy

Sangeetha Punniyamoorthy is a partner at DLA Piper (Canada) LLP and co-chair of the Canadian Intellectual Property & Technology group. She specializes in intellectual property litigation, and provides strategic advice in the procurement and enforcement of intellectual property rights, including in the video games industry. She has appeared as counsel in two appeals before the Supreme Court of Canada, as well as in matters before the Federal Court, the Ontario Courts, the Trademark Opposition Board, and the Competition Tribunal.

Sangeetha is past Chair of the IP-IT Section Executive of the Ontario Bar Association, is a Fellow of the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada, and a Global Fellow of the Federal Circuit Bar Association. She has been recognized for her intellectual property work by Chambers, Legal 500, Best Lawyers, Lexpert, Managing Intellectual Property, World Trademark Review, LMG Life Sciences, and Expert Guides: Guide to World’s Leading Women in Business Law‎.
