About Darryl

Darryl Long is a 20-year veteran of the video game industry who began his career as a programmer, working on everything from real-time trading software to artificial intelligence systems. A lifelong gamer who built his own video games in his spare time, Darryl quickly realized he could turn his passion into a career and never looked back.

Darryl is now Managing Director of Ubisoft Toronto, leading highly skilled AAA development teams focused on creating immersive, world‑class games for some of the industry’s most recognizable brands. Previously, he served as Managing Director of Ubisoft Singapore, the Philippines, and Vietnam, where he helped bring Skull & Bones to release in February 2024. He also founded Ubisoft Winnipeg in 2018, the company’s first dedicated technology studio.

Earlier in his career, Darryl was Producer on Far Cry 5 and worked on multiple titles during his 15 years at Ubisoft Montreal, including Far Cry 3, Blood Dragon, and Far Cry Primal. He remains motivated by working at one of the world’s leading game studios and by never having to make finance software again.
